Liverpool FC's 20th Title Triumph Becomes a Social Media Record-Breaker
Liverpool Football Club’s 20th league title isn’t just a momentous football achievement – it’s now officially the most-engaged Premier League title win in history. The Reds' dominant 5-1 victory over Tottenham Hotspur at Anfield secured the crown in style, but the celebrations went far beyond the pitch.
According to official club data, this title-clinching day became the most engaged in the club’s history on social media. Over 71 million engagements were recorded across Sunday and Monday following the match, with more than 58 million on matchday alone. These staggering numbers were driven by celebrations across platforms including Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, and X – reaching a phenomenal 1.1 billion impressions in just two days.
That wasn’t all. Liverpool also tallied over 429 million video views and gained nearly 500,000 new followers during the record-breaking period. It’s a digital landmark that reflects the global scale of LFC’s passionate fanbase – and their hunger to be part of every iconic moment.
Earlier in the season, Liverpool had already made headlines by becoming the first Premier League club to surpass 10 million YouTube subscribers. That number has since climbed past 11 million, proving the club’s rapid growth and popularity in the online world.
Back on the ground, the celebrations were electric. Players partied in the dressing room to fan favourites like "Freed From Desire," wearing “Champions 24/25” shirts and sharing their joy across social platforms. Trent Alexander-Arnold led the dressing room celebrations, while Darwin Nunez posted a now-iconic selfie with a cigar in hand. In a touching tribute, new boss Arne Slot led the Anfield crowd in a chant to honour former manager Jürgen Klopp – a symbol of continuity and respect for the club’s modern legacy.
For supporters, this victory was especially meaningful as it was the first league title win celebrated with fans inside Anfield since the 2019-20 season, which ended during COVID restrictions. This time, the Kop roared in unison, united in celebration.
While the trophy is secure, Liverpool's squad remains focused. Midfielder Curtis Jones summed it up well, saying: “We know the league is won – but we’ve still got games to play. We want to finish strong.” That attitude reflects the mentality that’s carried this squad to greatness – and ensures the legacy of this title goes far beyond numbers.
Liverpool’s 20th league title isn’t just a moment of glory. It’s a symbol of dominance, unity, and the global power of the club – both on the pitch and online. 🔴💪
